| What is the current interest rate for Judgments and decrees? |
Per section 55.03, Florida Statutes, the Chief Financial Officer of the State sets the interest rate for the calendar year. Click here to view the current rate. "The interest rate established at the time a judgment is obtained shall remain the same until the judgment is paid;" consequently, the yearly setting of the statutory interest rate by the Chief Financial Officer does not change the rate on your existing judgment(s), including child support judgments.

| How do I obtain a Home Solicitation Sales Permit? |
Applications for the permit may be obtained in the Marriage License Department located at 419 Pierce Street, Room 140 Tampa, Fl. 33602.
Per Florida Statute 501.021 - 501.055 All applicants must appear in person and present the following: - Current Picture Identification
- Social Security card
- Two (2) recent passport photos
The application fee is $124.00 and is non-refundable, therefore, we recommend you read the statute to determine if you qualify for the permit. If you pay by check, the fingerprint card will not be forwarded to the FDLE (Florida Department of Law Enforcement) until the check clears. When the application is completed, you will be sworn to the accuracy of the information you have provided. You will be given a duplicate copy of the application and a blank fingerprint card to take to the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office located at 2310 North Falkenburg Road for fingerprints and a local criminal records check. The Sheriff's Office will return the fingerprint card and duplicate application with the results of the local criminal records check to the Marriage License Department in the Clerk's Office. The Clerk's Office will forward your fingerprints to FDLE in Tallahassee for a fingerprint analysis. The Sheriff's Office and FDLE have 60 days in which to return the results of their analysis to the Clerk's Office. Once the fingerprint analysis is received from FDLE, the Clerk's Office will then approve or deny the issuance of a Home Solicitation Permit. The Clerk's Office will notify you of the results by telephone or by U.S. mail as soon as possible. If your permit is approved, you may come to the Clerk's Office to pick it up or we will mail it to you by certified mail.
